FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS

This gesture can enable youth to face life’s daily challenges with much ease as well as lead many youth to social integration in society, economic independence and self esteem. - All projects should be in line with AFA’s mission and vision.
- Each campaign will go on between six months and one year.
- AFA will acknowledge receipt of the donation within a maximum of three business days using our official letter-head including a thank you statement
- AFA will be fully responsible to implement the project.
- If the campaign does not hit its target, AFA reserves the right to use the funds for the most appropriate project .
- All gifts will appear as recognition in AFA’s annual report
- AFA will share the campaign on its social media platforms, website and reports.
Vocational Training
Vocational training is the best solution to break the cycle of pollution, dependence, stigma, lack of confidence, delinquency, homelessness, hunger, etc.
There are many options such as carpentry, masonry, tailoring, cosmetology, catering, plumbing, etc.
AFA’s goal is to provide this opportunity to the most vulnerable. This is how many youth in difficult living conditions can become economically independent very rapidly. It takes approximately 12 months for a youth to become independent. For example, a young woman is able to make different items (clothing, accessories, household items like bathroom sets, kitchen sets, dining sets, living room sets) and earn a living. With $350.00 a youth can be trained and become autonomous and integrate society.
Please make a donation to this cause – empowering one youth is equal to empowering more than one person. This youth will have a family and will give back to his/her family.

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE MANAGEMENT
Many girls from poorer communities cannot afford to conveniently go through their monthly menstrual cycles due to lack of financial support. Some girls have to stay out of school several days a month to avoid embarrassment. AFA has held several awareness sessions during which girls expressed requests for support to help them continue school during this period.
We are aiming at supporting 100 girls per month, which will cost approximately $105.00 per month. For one year, $1200.00 will help 100 girls continue education without interruption.

FEED THE NEEDY
Our feed the needy project will stop hunger and help youth to develop properly – they will also be able to focus on their studies and be in good health. This can indirectly help them refrain from engaging in petty crimes simply because they are hungry and in search of food. Our target is to provide food to 50 youth per month. For $4.00, a youth can have at least two normal meals a day, that is, $120.00 per youth per month. We are trying to raise $6.000 per month to be able to feed 50 youth.
This cause is one of the most worthy causes of our times. Please donate, your donation will make a huge difference in many lives.

HOUSING
The story of people living on the streets with no hope for the future is becoming more and more rampant. Integrating these youth into society cannot be perceived without any shelter. Some families are willing to accommodate the younger youth who can more easily integrate society and readjust to family lives. Shelter is dignity and self-esteem. To make this happen, a family will need $100.00 per month per child. This will cater for basic needs, such as food, clothing, and school materials.
We are also trying to build modest shelter for the youth on the streets with a mixture of local materials and concrete which proves to be solid and cost-effective. $2.500 can provide shelter for four youth while they pursue skills development and vocational training. Having a roof means having security and have a place to call home.

AGRO-ECOLOGY
There are many reasons why we are interested in an agro-ecology project, above all, it respects the environment while at the same time enabling consumers to eat healthy meals. It contributes to food security in the country and prevents different sorts of illnesses. It provides a solution to unemployment. Our goal is to provide training to 40 farmers per year. Tools, training materials, seedlings and other implements will cost 300.00 per youth per year.
With CHF12.000 per year, we can spread healthy and responsible agricultural practices to many communities.
